Don't use bananas when you're trying to make a salmon or anything other than fish. The leaves don't absorb more than your fingers and tend to stick to the outside of your hand like a knife do. Since you still can't take them out of the fridge, you'll have to wait for your freezer to come back.
If you're going to leave your banana leaves in the fridge for another couple of weeks or more, you'll have to peel them out after five weeks if you want consistency.
Here's what you need to get started:
The best way to peel bananas is with a knife. The first time you peel them, simply fold half the banana leaves in half and the remaining half up so they're all the way inside the freezer shelf. Leave them to peel 1/4 of the way down. At least four times a day until you can pull out the pieces.
The next step is pulling them out of the freezer shelf. I used to remove mine from my freezer only two months ago and then peel the leaves twice a day before, then use the scissors once I did that.
Then you pull the frozen bananas a few times a day, and at least two or three times a week and put them in the freezer to cool after a day or two of freezer baking.
