It's true but do not worry about it. It's good if it adds flavor to the fish. All you have to worry about is the salt and how to cut it.
You can also use lemon or mint oil or the salt-based oil that comes from olive oil. It's the same without the salt, which is fine for most fish oils. So, if you want salt in it, mix a few drops of lemon oil plus a couple of tablespoons of bay leaf. So for a large batch of fish oil, add a small amount of pureed sea salt to 2 parts pepper, then cut in half. This helps a lot.
